INITIAL APPOINTMENT

£60

In your initial appointment the physio will assess your injury through questions and a physical assessment that will enable a clear diagnosis of your injury to be made.

 

The session may include hands-on treatment and advice to start managing your issue. It is advisable to bring suitable clothing (shorts/vest top etc) to allow the physio to assess the symptomatic area.

FOLLOW UP TREATMENTS £50

Further appointments to manage your recovery may include progress assessments and subsequent treatment.  This will be your tailored treatment plan.  In this plan we will monitor your results, update your recovery plan with the aim for you to become pain free and the ability to engage fully in your sport.

Manual Therapy achieves optimum results when used in conjunction with physical exercise and activity.  Rehabilitation exercises will normally be prescribed by your physio to carry out in between the treatment sessions.  

SPORTS MASSAGE

£60

This form of manual therapy targets soft tissue. Soft tissue problems can be a primary source of pain.  A sports massage can be used to break up fibrous muscle tissue such as scar tissue, move tissue fluids such as swelling, and relax muscular tension.

 

‘Trigger points’ also known as knots in the muscle are well known to cause pain, which can affect how a muscle functions.  A sports massage can reduce pain and aid rehabilitation of specific muscles.

ACCUPUNCTURE £50

Acupuncture treatment stems from an ancient Chinese medicine where fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes. Many people have acupuncture to relieve specific aches and pains or for common health problems. Some people choose acupuncture when they feel their bodily functions are out of balance, but they have no specific diagnosis.

 

There are also a lot of people who will go for regular treatment because they find it beneficial and relaxing.
Acupuncture can be used to help with: Pain relief, Reducing muscle spasm, Reducing joint stiffness, Increasing muscle length, Reducing swelling, Promoting the release of endorphins, Relaxation.
